Dale A. Miles, DDSDentists know they should be using the fastest receptors and rectangular collimation. This fact is now well documented in the latest NCRP Guidelines. Now they can do this simply with Tru-Align. Even if they are still using film, this device will reduce exposure dramatically as they transition to digital receptors. With simple training for their staff on using paralleling devices, they will have the best results and the lowest dose. My radiology colleagues and I been teaching rectangular technique for 30 years. With practice, NO student, dental or auxiliary, has had any difficulty mastering it! |
