Eugene L. Antenucci, DDS
Dr. Antenucci is assistant clinical professor at The School of Dental Medicine in Stony Brook, N.Y. and course director of the Third Year General Dentistry Clinic. He is president of the Suffolk County Dental Society and serves on the Board of Trustees of the New York State Academy of General Dentistry, The Academy of General Dentistry’s Examination Council, and the Board of Delegates of the American Dental Association.
Randall G. Cohen, DDS
Dr. Cohen was a member of the Consulting Staff, Department of Surgery, Delaware Valley Medical Center in Longhorne, Pa. In addition to his many civic activities and his private practice, Dr. Cohen has published numerous articles, participated in many lectures at state, regional, and national meetings, and to use his words “simply loves dentistry.” Dr. Cohen graduated from Temple University in 1982 and has been in private practice since. He completed an externship program in the Department of Oral Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla. and an externship program in the Department of Dentistry at Suburban General Hospital in Norristown, Pa.
Mervyn Druian, LDS
Dr. Druian has been a respected leader in Great Britain healthcare, particularly dentistry, for the past 20 years. He is a noted lecturer and author, serves on the board of several companies and operates an eminent dental practice in London.
Allan G. Farman, PhD, D.Sc., MBA
Dr. Farman is one of the world’s foremost experts in dental radiology and a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He is the professor of Radiology and Imaging Science, Department of Surgical and Hospital Dentistry at the University of Louisville, and also the Honored Guest Professor of Peking University, China. He frequently lectures internationally and was the featured speaker at the Chinese Annual Congress on Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in April 2007. Dr. Farman is the founder and chair of the International Congress and Exposition on Computed Maxillofacial Imaging, and the voting representative for the American Dental Association to the International DICOM Standards Committee. He is the scientific editor for the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Farman has published more than 300 peer-reviewed scientific articles and has co-authored or edited 14 books. He conducts private practice of maxillofacial radiology and has been involved with maxillofacial cone beam computed tomography since its inception.
Marvin A. Fier, DDS, FASDA, ABAD, FACD, FADI, FIADE, FICD
Dr. Fier has been in clinical practice for 35 years. As a contributing editor for DENTISTRY TODAY andREALITY, he is regularly published in dental literature. Dr. Fier is strongly committed to educating his professional colleagues and regularly presents continuing education programs on varying topics at universities and congresses – domestically and globally. He also participates in the brainstorming sessions of various dental industry manufacturers on a regular basis.
Jean Gaffney Furuyama, DDS
Dr. Furuyama graduated from NYUCD where she was awarded the prize for “outstanding woman student.” After a general practice residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., she opened her practice from scratch in 1981 and is sole owner of a high tech, fee-for-service group practice in Manhattan, N.Y. Ms. Furuyama is active in the New York Dental Society, having served on the peer review committee for several years, is a past member of the Board of Directors of the New York County component, and is presently on the State Board of Dentistry. She is past president of the American Association of Women Dentists, former secretary of the American Association for the Study of Orthodontics, and she is an active member of the American Association of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as two honorary societies: The Academy of Dentistry International and the American College of Dentists. She speaks fluent Japanese and is president elect of the Japanese Medical Society of America. Dr. Furuyama has lectured at the Chicago Midwinter, the Greater New York, and on-line for Dentaltown.
Claudio M. Levato, DDS
Dr. Levato graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, in 1976. He shares an esthetic and restorative dental practice with his wife, Sharon, and has been a pioneer in clinical technologies including: CAD/CAM, lasers, intraoral and digital cameras, multiple digital radiology systems and early caries detection technology. Dr. Levato is an author and international lecturer on Leading Edge Technology Applications, Computer Integration, Digital Radiology, Intraoral and Digital Cameras, Conservative Restorative Dentistry and Changing Practice Dynamics. He serves on several clinical advisory boards for radiology and restorative dental companies and provides consultative services to the dental trade. He is an active member of the American Equilibration Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Institute and Fellow International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics, Fellow of the Chicago Odontographic Society and Fellow American College of Dentists.
Omer Reed, DDS
Dr. Reed is simply and universally known as a “Legend in dentistry!” He is the chief executive officer of the Napili Seminar series, a professional post-doctoral education program that has functioned continuously for more than 27 years, and chairman of the board of PENTEGRA, a consulting firm for healthcare professionals. A distinguished leader in the field of dentistry with more than 40 years of active involvement in all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Reed serves on the board of directors for CUNA Insurance Company, Century Companies of America, American Volunteer Medical team and Rowpar Pharmaceuticals.
Kenneth Abramovitch, DDS, MS
Dr. Abramovitch is an Associate Professor and Head of the Oral Radiology Section in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine. He received his D.D.S. from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and his M.S. in Oral Diagnostic Sciences – Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
